We lost my grandmother on Thursday of last week. there is a lot that I could say, but I think my sister did a wonderful job, so I’ll just let her words speak for me.

Dear Friends and Family,

On Thursday, August 13, 2007, the beautiful soul of Katherine Louise Denton, lovingly known as NAN has passed on from this mortal life moving on into the waiting arms of our Heavenly Father.

Losing her battle to cancer, Nan, walked the stairway to Heaven and into the arms of her two daughters Carol and Dorris and her husband Nelson, who preceded her into the comforts of Heaven. She passed peacefully while sleeping guarded ever so vigilantly by her surviving daughter Patricia.

Nan’s spirit and life lessons will never be forgotten. The love she had bestowed will be ever lasting. With her daily prayers for her family, friends and loved ones, not only did she try to care for us physically but spiritually as well.

Knowing now that she is no longer suffering from her daily strife from Scoliosis, Psoriasis, and her Arthritis and the Cancer that ravaged her body gives me comfort and a peace. The hope and promise from God that she can now walk with her family hand in hand for long periods of time without pain and being able to enjoy her surroundings to the fullest brings me immeasurable joy.

With a heavy heart and wounded soul I say goodbye to my grandmother, my Nan. I Love you…
