If you are planning to travel this holiday season to visit family or friends out of town, you’re probably going to want Hotel Reservations. You can always stay with family, but I personally need to be able to go unwind in my own room so that I have time to spend with just my wife and son. Otherwise the trip feels overcrowded, and I need a vacation from my vacation when I get back.
I’ve tried a lot of online sites to get the best deal on rooms, cars and other travel related necessities, and for my money, HotelReservations.com comes in above most of the big guys, especially if you’re going someplace off the beaten path like I do.
My family doesn’t live in one of the larger metropolitan areas of the country. Companies that offer to let you “bid” on rates for lodging generally don’t offer much in the way of choices for smaller-city America. To top that off, if your not careful you’ll miss the really good deals altogether because the hotels/motels with the lowest rates don’t actually advertise with the major players, if they’re online at all. Most do however, belong to a booking network, and those networks are usually represented online.
There’s usually a rental car involved in our travels as well, and HotelReservations.com has helped in the past in getting me a decent rate on transportation, even in the peak seasons like Thanksgiving, Christmas and the New Years rush for rooms.
By now you are probably shaking your head, knowing that I got a few duckets to write this. That’s all well and good, and true as well, but here’s the deal.
I used this company to book my last three trips from Texas to California, with savings of several hundred dollars off the listed prices at the hotels we stayed in. So when I saw I could return the favor and put in a good word for them, I jumped at the chance. they are a pleasure to work with and I, at least, have never had a single issue with the service.
In the end, the recommendation is my own, and I hope you have the pleasure of saving a few dollars the next time you go to visit family that lives away from home.
