Most of you are probably aware that scheduling a post to appear at a date in the future is as simple as setting the date in advance before you hit the publish button in the admin interface. While it’s simple to do this if you’re setting one post at-a-time, managing a large number of scheduled posts in WordPress has traditionally been a very tedious task.

Thanks to Chris Garrett, this should no longer be an issue. If like me, you’ve got a slew of drafts and posts that are already scheduled to publish in the future. I could go on about how cool his discovery is, but it’s simpler by far to let him do it, so without further ado, here’s Chris’ video explaining the Editorial Calendar WordPress plugin.

You can check out the original post here and if you prefer to download your WordPress plugins for upload, the plugin is here.

I don’t know about you, but I’m about to install this on every blog I run that has posts scheduled for the future. Being able to see post frequency in a calendar format is a beautiful thing. If you post daily you’ll know for sure you haven’t missed a day. If you post three times weekly you can make sure that there isn’t anything doubled up.

This is one of those plugins that is going to be on everyone’s top ten list within the next year or so. Why not jump on the early adopters bandwagon? I know I am.

What productivity tools to you use to keep your blogging schedule running smoothly? Do you have any hot tips for making daily blogging easier? I’m sure we’d all love to hear about them.
