Thursday Thirteen #2

Thirteen Things You most likely didn’t know about Jerry.

  1. I drink a LOT of coffee. Over a pot a day.
  2. I was alive before the first man walked on the moon and hope to be watching when the first man sets foot on Mars.
  3. I owned my first computer before there was even any mention of a “World Wide Web” (It could display 16 colors (8 in any one place). I was the coolest kid I knew!)
  4. I don’t have my original smile. (I won’t say I don’t have my own teeth, these are mine, I paid for them! The teeth I was born with were never very strong, and finally gave out on me in my 20’s.)
  5. When I was a kid, I wanted to be a starship captain, by the time I was a teenager, that had switched to rock guitarist. (Come to think of it, I’d still like to be a starship captain…)
  6. My wife is Active Duty Air force, a Department of Defense instructor and an Author.
  7. I’m a veteran of the United States Nave (Leads to a lot of ribbing with the A.F. wife!!!)
  8. I owned my first car at 12 years old. My father wrecked it by the time I was 13.
  9. Jane Russell is a distant cousin of mine.
  10. I have 6 children from 3 different relationships, and a stepson I love as much as any of my own.
  11. I think the secret to faster than light travel is going to be solved with coffee, a guitar pick and duct tape
  12. I spent a short time in jail. (Yes I was guilty, no I’m not saying what I did)
  13. I’ve got an intense and nearly disabling fear of heights, but I still have to walk up to the edge and look out.

Ha ha, your father wrecked it!

I had a computer before www meant anything, too. We’re pioneers!

That is a lot of coffee.. INtesting list you have there!

Great TT! Did your computer have those giagantic dinner plate sized floppy discs? :) If you pay for it, it is DEFINATLY YOURS! :) Have a great week!

The old days of computers… I was there, but I’m glad where we are now! :) Interesting things, nice to get to know you a bit!
My TT lists 13 favourite detectives (books).

CA-credits is what I use on my blog. It is awesome!

A pot of coffee. You must be wired. Maybe you need it w. seven kids.

Great list. #11 cracks me up. :)

We are a military family also.

Great list! Happy TT!

Wow! I’ve never seen a couple who are both in uniform not until I dropped by your blog. I bet it was hard for your kids to hang around like any ordinary ones in your neighborhood since they’re guarded by strict parents.

What struck me from your blog is that statement saying, “I don’t have my original smile.” Hahahaha! With or without a set of teeth, one will always have his own unique smile; just like an infant who has no teeth yet. But this is intriguing – you spent a short time in jail? When? How short was short? But then you end up as an officer afterwards or you were jailed while in service?

You’re blog is really interesting. I can’t wait for your next entry.

LOL at nr 11! I agree! :)

I like your funny no. 11! Happy TT!

Great TT :)
And your wife is an AWESOME writer!!

Good to get to know you. We had the old computers - LARGE floppy disks, SLOW as the 7 year itch, but we thought they were grand!

Check out my TT.

You have lived a very full life indeed with many more experiences to come. Thank you for sharing a part of yourself.
